Your firm’s own legal AI
Research, drafting and a document editor under your firm’s name — with your letterhead, your data in its own instance, and answers that cite only the legislation and case law they actually retrieved.
From €89 per user / month · 30M+ legal documents

Not a prototype. Valvasor, under your name.
Lex Atelier is the platform behind Valvasor, the legal research assistant already in use by Slovenian lawyers — packaged as your firm’s own private instance. Legal sources come through LexAPI, our own legal-data service.
30M+
legal documents — legislation and case law across seven national jurisdictions and the EU
In production
the same research engine that runs Valvasor for Slovenian lawyers
Measured
every supported AI model is tested for correct and grounded citations before use
What your lawyers get
Research that cites
Ask in plain language. The answer quotes the legislation and case law it relied on — every citation a source you can open.
Drafting on your letterhead
Letters, demands and contracts generated as PDF with your firm’s letterhead, logo and house style.
An editor that suggests, never overwrites
AI edits arrive as tracked changes you accept or reject, each tied to the provision behind it.
Deep research, when it matters
A multi-step research pipeline that checks every claim against its source before it reaches you.
Morning briefs and a legislative radar
Changes in the law that touch your matters, summarised before your first coffee.
Matters and saved research
Research, generated documents and follow-ups kept together per matter, with continuous research that keeps watching it.
Citations you can open
A fluent answer with an invented article is the worst failure in legal research. The platform is built to make that failure rare, visible, and measured.
Answers from sources, not memory
The assistant answers from what it retrieved — legislation, case law, EU texts — and cites it. A citation it did not retrieve is a failure we measure.
A citation check before you see it
Deep research runs each claim through a gate that compares it with the cited text. Claims that do not hold are dropped or flagged, not smoothed over.
Measured, model by model
Every AI backend we support is qualified on a fixed set of legal questions — correctness, grounding, and a prompt-injection suite — before a client can use it.
Official texts
EU law is quoted from the Publications Office’s official texts, in your language, in the version in force.
Send us one real question
Pick a research question from your practice. Within one working day you receive a short memo from Lex Atelier in which every statement links to its source, checked by us before it is sent.
A real answer
Not a demo script: legislation and case law from the jurisdiction you choose.
Checked in a minute
Every citation opens the official text, so you can verify the result yourself.
No call needed
If the memo is useful, you decide whether to talk to us.
Where it runs is your decision
One release, three ways to run it. Every firm gets its own instance — nothing is shared between firms.
Hosted by us
We run your instance in the EU — its own database, its own storage, your domain. Nothing is shared with other firms.
Your EU cloud
The same release, deployed into your own cloud account. Your data stays in an account you control.
Your servers
On-premises, next to your document management system, with a model server of your own if you want one.

Questions firms ask
How is this different from a Valvasor subscription?
Valvasor is one shared service for individual lawyers. Lex Atelier is your firm’s own instance: your name and domain, your letterhead and templates, your users and single sign-on, and data that sits in its own database — or in your own infrastructure.
Which jurisdictions are covered?
The United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Italy, France, Slovenia and EU law — over 30 million documents. Additional jurisdictions are underway, and we add new ones on request.
Which languages is the product itself available in?
The interface is available in English and Slovenian today, with more languages to follow. The research covers the law of every jurisdiction above, and EU texts are quoted in the language you work in.
Which AI model does it use?
On Hosted, a model we have qualified and operate for you. On Private, your choice — OpenAI, Anthropic, an EU-hosted provider, or a model on your own servers. Each supported model passes the same accuracy and injection tests.
Is our data used to train models?
We do not train models on your data. Your documents and conversations stay in your instance. On Private, you contract the model provider directly.
How long does setup take?
A Hosted instance with your brand and letterhead is typically ready within a week or two of signing. Private deployments depend on your environment; we plan them with your IT.
What does the AI Act mean for us?
For law firms, a legal research assistant is not expected to fall into the Act’s high-risk category, which targets use by judicial authorities. Our written assessment is part of the procurement pack.
See it with your firm’s name on it
Thirty minutes: a walkthrough on your kind of matters, and your letterhead on a generated document.
